Why am I missing measurements?

Modified on Thu, 14 Sep, 2023 at 4:51 PM

Your tank monitoring system is designed to take a measurement once every 6 hours.  Due to the nature of satellite communications, signals may not always make it to the satellite.  We see an average of 80% successful transmissions.

In general, you should see 4 readings per day but don't be shocked if a reading is missed.  This is normal with satellites.

Please make sure you have properly installed the tank monitoring system.  This means, the receiver is mounted vertically with a clear view of the sky.  If there are obstructions (such as trees or the tank itself), you can expect less reading to make it to the satellite.
