Door Sensor Installation

1. When you receive your door sensor it will come with a sensor, magnet, and 4 phillips head screws.

2. Remove the cap on the sensor and remove the small piece of plastic at the top of the battery.
   
    

3. When mounting the sensor and magnet it is important that the magnet is mounted on the right side of the sensor if the sensor cap is facing the sky.  If it is mounted on the other side of the sensor, it will not work correctly.
    

4. One side of the magnet has a small black circle on it, make sure that the black circle and the lid of the sensor are pointing towards the sky.

5. The magnet must be installed within 3 centimeters of the sensor for the sensor to read closed. If they are mounted more than 3 centimeters apart then the sensor will read “Open” at all times.
   
   
   
   

Door Sensor Alerts

1. Navigate to the settings icon at the bottom of the column on the left side of your screen. 

2. Click on the “Alert settings” tab and click the “ADD NEW ALERT” button.

3. Under “other alerts”, select “Special equipment alert”.

4. You can choose to be alerted when the door is open, closed, or both. 

5. Select the vehicle that the door sensor is linked with along with when and how you would like to be alerted and then click the save button.
